Stage 3: The german champion is the winner
August 4, 2005.

German national champion Gerald Ciolek won the third stage of 32nd Tour of Hungary. Cyclist do not have to fight with each other, but they have to battle the elements: thunderstorm and wind. There was a serious crash in the field, finally two riders – Árvai from Hungary and Hofmeistert from Austria - had to be taken to the Hospital.

There has not been big changes in the overall positions since yesterday: Hamish Haynes is at first position, the best Hungarian – Tamás Lengyel - is fifth, it is still possible for a local rider to claim overall honours when the race finishes in three days time.

All the riders, who finished the stage (many cyclists gave up the competition today) arrived together, though the race was really exciting, with many breakaway attempts.
