Stage 4: Worst day of Haynes
August 5, 2005.

Robert Kriegs – member of German national track team - won fourth stage of Tour of Hungary. Fastest Hungarian this time was Bálint Szeghalmi, finished at fifth place.

The race had to stop, and they were riding slowly with followers, as road conditions became terrible in a 12 km part after heavy rain in the last 3 days. After this compulsory slow-down, the stage was exciting as strong wind spitted the field.

Hamish Haynes – wearing yellow – almost lost his first position at this stage: he became unwell one kilometer before the finish line (stomach-ache).
